What a Home Roofing Contractor Does
Roofing contractors can usually be divided into two rather distinct segments. Some companies specialize in residential roofing installation while other roofing contractors deal primarily in commercial roofing. There are exceptions to this rule, but most roofing companies specialize in one or the other. This is true in large measure because residential and commercial roofing products and installation are often quite different.
Therefore, when it comes time to look for someone to roof your new or existing home, you will probably find a home roofing contractor whose business is, for the most part, residential in nature. This contractor will likely have a relatively small business. In fact, in many cases you will be dealing directly with the business owner.
Most residential roofers work on both new and existing homes. Since many existing home roofing jobs are the result of insurance claims, the majority of these contractors are familiar with, and both willing and able to work comfortably with insurance companies.
